Laarni Vinas is a triple-qualified lawyer (Attorney-at-Law in the Philippines and New York and Solicitor of the Supreme Court in England and Wales). She is a Managing Associate in SHUSAKU·YAMAMOTO, one of the internationally-recognized intellectual property firms in Japan. She has extensive experience in intellectual property practice focusing on prosecution, post-grant challenges, litigation, enforcement and management of the IP portfolio of some of the firm’s clients including a range of US, Japanese, European & Asian companies and Fortune 500 companies. She is also actively involved in several programs for promoting foreign residents rights in Japan. In 2019, she was one of the top 5 finalists for the Young Lawyer of the Year and was also one of the finalists of the BMW Woman Lawyer of the Year Award in the Japan Law Awards of Asia Legal Business. She was also one of the youngest recipients of Leon SA Aureus Award in the Legal Category in the Philippines in 2018 for her excellent and outstanding service in the intellectual property field.
