Reiko Sakimura

Reiko is an executive committee member of WILJ. A graduate of Cambridge University (MA (Hons) in law), Reiko trained at Linklaters in London and obtained her qualification as an English solicitor in 1995. Upon her return to Japan in 1997, she worked at Linklaters Tokyo until 2000, after which she joined the Investment Banking Division of UBS Tokyo as Director (later Executive Director). Having returned to Linklaters Tokyo in 2004 (after passing the New York Bar examination in 2003), she became a partner of the firm in 2005. She joined Clifford Chance Tokyo in 2009 as a partner in the Capital Markets department, and is now the Co-Managing Partner of the office. Reiko is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, a foreign registered lawyer (English law) of the Tokyo Dai-ni Bar Association, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
