Tohimi Itakura
Toshimi is a new executive committee member of WILJ in 2021. She graduated from the Keio University in Japan (B.A. in Laws) in 2000 and joined Sojitz Corporation, a leading international trading house with operations in a multitude of countries and regions, in 2005 as a member of the Legal Department. After joining Sojitz Corporation, she studied at Duke Law School, obtained Master of Law (Hons) and has been admitted to the New York Bar since 2010. She has worked overseas at reginal offices of Sojitz Corporation in NY and London and also seconded to Corporate Group and Competition Group of Herbert Smith Freehills in London. She is currently the manager of Section 3 of the Legal Department which covers all transactions within Aerospace & Transportation Project Division and Infrastructure & Healthcare Division. She focuses on personnel development of the members and has “Be happy and passionate. And be yourself.” as her motte.
この度、2021年からWILJのエグゼクティブ・コミッティー・メンバーになりました。2000年、慶應義塾大学法学部を卒業（法学士）し、2005年、総合商社である双日株式会社の法務部員として入社。入社後は、アメリカのデュークロースクールに留学し法学修士（優等）を取得の上、2010年にニューヨーク州弁護士資格を取得しました。また、ニューヨーク及びロンドンの海外拠点での勤務、及び、ハーバート・スミス・フリーヒルズのロンドンオフィスへの出向を経験。現在は、航空産業・交通プロジェクト本部及びインフラ・ヘルスケア本部のビジネスに関する法務業務をカバーする第三課の課長を務めており、「とにかく”楽しく”を大切に。パッションを持って仕事をしましょう。そして、“自分らしく”を大切に。」を信念とし、人材育成に励んでおります。
