Women in Law Japan is pleased to announce an event on Wednesday 21st August 2019. We will be joined by two executive coaches and lawyers, Tami Irokawa McGonigal and Peter Kilner, for a session on effective communication in international legal practice. This event will be conducted in English and is open to all genders. Anyone wishing to attend should RSVP by email to contact@womeninlawjapan.org. The capacity is 60 people.

We would like to thank Clifford Chance for kindly hosting this event and look forward to seeing you there.

We spend much of our working lives communicating. We communicate with colleagues, clients, support staff, other lawyers and business people. With our work becoming increasingly international we have to communicate with diverse cultural background. We communicate face-to-face, by phone, email, text message and Line. But are we communicating well, and how could we communicate better? In this session experienced lawyers and coaches Tami Irokawa McGonigal and Peter Kilner will share with you their top five tips on how to help you become a more effective communicator in international legal practice, with a particular focus on communication for non-native English speakers and cross-cultural aspects of communication.
