In 2021, Jenifer was elected President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, the largest and most active global business community in Japan with over 3000 members. She is also General Counsel Asia at Asurion and holds three outside director roles at listed companies and other positions in NPOs in Japan and the US.

Jenifer’s connection with Japan dates back to the 1980’s when she graduated high school early and did the first two years in University in Japan, as a result of her father’s job transfer to Japan. Jenifer earned her JD from Georgetown Law Center after graduation from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. Jenifer was a Fulbright Scholar to the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law in 1988, and thereafter got her master’s degree in International Public Policy, from John Hopkins (S.A.I.S). Before Joining Asurion in 2012, Jenifer was with the Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 18 years in a variety of senior legal roles in Dublin, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, New York, and Tokyo. Jenifer is admitted to the New York Bar, and is fluent in Japanese.
