Tove Kinooka

Director, Global Perspectives K.K.
Tove is a bicultural (British/Danish) sustainability consultant who has worked in Japan since 1998. She founded Global Perspectives K.K. in 2015 in Japan with her business partner Gavin Dixon. They work across Asia with major global corporations, SMEs, NPOs, Embassies, Chambers of Commerce, and social venture organizations to amplify and accelerate actions for a sustainable future.

Her work focuses on transforming company culture to support sustainability strategy and ambitions, and brings together her combination of scientific & agricultural background, business experience, and people development skills. She holds certifications in Business Sustainability Management (Cambridge University) and Organizational Change Consulting (Ashridge-Hult Business School), and a degree in Biological Science (University of Exeter).

Alongside her main work, Tove is an Executive Committee member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ), where she leads the Responsible Business Task Force, and is part of the Management Committee for Refugee Empowerment International, (REI).She is also regularly involved in sustainability-focused events as a speaker, moderator, and host.


James Hollow, MBE
CEO, Fabric

James is the Founder/CEO at Fabric, leading the organisation with a focus on entrepreneurship, regenerative business practices, and brand strategy – drawing from 20 years of experience in Tokyo and London.

Graduating from Oxford University with a Masters Degree in Physics, James joined the WPP fellowship program and ended up in Tokyo, co-founding a digital consultancy in 2005. This business was built up through acquisition by MullenLowe Group and IPG, with James becoming co-CEO of the APAC region in 2019.

James has extensive experience working with global brands including Apple, Amazon, Unilever, P&G, and Salesforce, as well as being an advisor to leading startups scaling in Japan, a mentor for 500 Startups, and Chair of the British School in Tokyo. In 2022 James was awarded a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to education and the wider community in Japan.His belief that businesses need to create culture, build relationships and act on sustainability in order to be successful in the current climate, led to the transition of the company to Fabric as a strategic consultancy in 2021.


Xue Wang
Partner, Allen & Overy

Xue is a partner in Allen & Overy’s Tokyo office and an executive committee member of Women in Law Japan. She started her legal career in London with Allen & Overy in 2007 and has been in Japan since 2011. Xue specializes in energy and infrastructure projects, and works extensively with Japanese and multinational clients including sponsors, financial institutions, export credit agencies and policy banks on all aspects of project development, including commercial contract negotiations, project financing and M&A.

Xue’s practice has a strong focus on energy transition and green energy projects, including on renewable energy, LNG, hydrogen, nuclear power, CCS and energy storage. Xue is also a member of A&O’s ESG Working Group, and regularly presents at industry events and client presentations on the opportunities and challenges relating to ESG and sustainability.
