2025 Look Back Message from WILJ ExCom
As we enter the new year, we are delighted to reflect on 2025 being a year marked by meaningful progress, strengthened community, and continued commitment to our mission of inspiring, connecting, and empowering women in the legal profession across Japan.
In 2025, we expanded our programming with a record number of professional networking events, panel discussions, emerging lawyers and mentoring sessions — each designed to support women at every stage of their legal careers. Our flagship events saw unprecedented engagement, reflecting both the momentum behind our mission and the growing recognition of the importance of gender equity within the legal industry. We were especially proud of the collaborations we forged with law firms, corporate, industry service providers, peer organisations and academic institutions, all united by a shared dedication to advancing women’s professional growth and leadership.
Equally notable was the deepening sense of community among our members. Whether through our networking forums, peer support circles, or thought‑leadership initiatives, 2025 demonstrated the power of connection and collective action.
