Meet, Match, Mentor — WILJ Mentoring Program + Speed Mentoring Event May 19th, 2026

We’re excited to open applications for the WILJ Mentoring Program—our annual initiative designed to foster cross-organization mentoring, professional growth, and meaningful connections within the legal community.

Purpose: General mentoring event to kick off the mentoring program

Formal Program

How to Apply

Application form
Deadline: April 30

Who Can Apply

Eligibility: Legal professionals (lawyers, in-house counsel, paralegals, students, etc.)
Open to: All genders
Language: Japanese or English

Program Overview

Format: Mentee-driven mentoring
Duration: One year*
Time commitment: At least one one‑on‑one meeting per quarter

*Participants are welcome to continue the relationship beyond the program, but the formal program concludes after one year.

Pairing Process

Mentors and mentees will be matched after the application deadline
Pairings will be announced following our Speed Mentoring event on May 19

What to Expect This Year

As part of the program, we will:

Send occasional reminder emails to mentees to support continued engagement
Host networking events and skills workshops for program participants
More details will be shared once mentor–mentee pairs are finalized.
